Easter Sunday at Luweero’s Nimrod beach was historic.
With a line-up of almost half of Uganda’s biggest and top entertainers, a new record of approximately 10,000 revellers is said to have been made at this venue.
Hosted by Douglas Lwanga and undoubtedly the biggest celebration of Ugandan Music for 8 years now, it was the brand purples maiden concert in this historic town of Luweero.
Maureen Nantume, Vinka,Racheal Ray, Nina Roz,Hanson Baliruno, VIP Jemo, Prince Omar, John Blaq, Weasel, Fresh Kid all had the crowds dancing and singing along.
Deejays Slick Stuart and Roja who headlined other deejays on the night indeed proved their national dominance on their set which also included their branded posters as give aways.
Sasha, Deejay E, Gravity (DJ) and Mercy also had some time on the decks hyped by Mcee’s Kats, Isaac, Mats, Jerome and others.
The host, Lwanga who was also born in Luweero thanked his fellows for the support and confessed how he wasn’t sure of the turn up.
‘ That place is abnormally huge and indeed am serving a living God’ he said.
‘I will host an annual show every Easter Sunday at this place’ he concluded. While on stage, he also thanked his sponsors before the show ended for an after party in Nimrod Club.
