Based on what happened yesterday to musician Bobi Wine in Busabala, many musicians have come up and advised government to stop treating Kyadondo East legislator Hon. Kyagulanyi as if he is a non-Ugandan yet even foreigner’s rights and freedoms are highly protected.
Among them include Dr. Hilder Man and Jennifer Full figure who believes that brutalizing Bobi mWine is not the solution because police is meant to keep, protect law and order but the current antagonisms originates from police’s disobedience and disrespect of human rights and freedoms.
Hilder man advises that any cancellation of a concert does not only affect the guest artiste who in this case, is or was Bobi Wine but also even those who could have accompanied the guest artiste are affected. One individual does not conduct a concert so the loss is shared amongst all shareholders including the government that is in charge of collecting taxes.
He therefore called upon the government to stop harassing Bobi Wine adding that they are in solidarity with him. Full figure has also argued musicians and music lovers in diaspora to boy cot concerts regardless of who has organized and who are supposed to perform, as this is the only avenue left with non- militants to also have a lion’s share in the constitution that protects the poor and the rich, the short and tall.
