Buganda Road court grade magistrate Robert Mukanza has charged three Kiseka Market traders dealing in auto spare parts, with 42 counts of embezzlement.

The traders are said to have stolen up to 154 million shillings from their workplace SACCO

The accused are Kiwanuka Lule Joseph, Nambajjwe Noeline and Namukasa Claire.

The trio admitted to these charges on their own plea and promised to refund all the swindled funds.

The state Prosecutor in the matter, Cynthia Cingtho, yesterday brought to court’s attention the fact that her team had entered into agreement with all the convicts to pay back all the stolen funds within one month.

Prosecution states that on  January 1st 2018 at Kiseka Market area, the convicts failed to hand in their savings group’s money at the end of the year.

As security before being released, the three deposited land titles as security that they will pay off their stolen.
