Singer Cinderella Sanyu alias “The King Herself” on Saturday night graced the Johnnie Walker Unplugged stage and left no doubt that she is indeed Uganda’s dancehall ‘king.’
The songstress is undeniably talented in so many musical genres including Pop, Afro-beat, Rhythm and Blues, but is exceptional when it comes to dancehall and it showed when she performed some of her club bangers like ‘Ayokyayokya,’ ‘Mbikooye,’ ‘One and only’ and ‘Selector’ among others.
Cindy has been bickering with Sheebah over a musical battle since November last year on who shines better in the industry; Cindy saying she is vocally superior while Sheebah prides herself in being materialistically superior.
The ‘Onina’ singer, who took to stage at 8pm, did not waste any time as she quickly drove the crowd wild with electrifying performance and her famed eye-catching dance moves.
“We can all attest to the fact that tonight was definitely riveting. This platform is about us celebrating and supporting incredible artistes who are making a mark in the entertainment industry,” said Roger Agamba, International Premium Spirits Brand Manager UBL.
Organized by Fezah Entertainment, the show is executed in a studio-like setting, where fans get a chance to an intimate and up close experience with their favorite Ugandan musicians, performing to live instruments.
The event that has seen several artists perform in the platform such as Kenneth Mugabi,Irene Ntale and Jackie Akello, will be going on throughout the whole year with several editions happening every month.
